Evil Doghouse is a group of production companies with offices in Oslo, London and Casablanca, with connection to companies in Senegal, USA, Ukraine and Iceland. Our bold and passionate family work with the leading studios, streamers, and brands – producing high quality content.
Family members
Egil has established and managed several film societies around Norway, eventually becoming the Vice President of The Association of Norwegian Film Societies. He has produced and co-produced more than 40 feature films and more than 50 shorts, documentaries and tv-series, from around the world. Since 1993 Egil has managed three different Norwegian distribution companies, distributing more than 250 films for both theatrical release and release on all other kinds of platforms. For the last few years, Egil has been building Evil Doghouse in Morocco and Africa, while keeping his eye on the international market for Evil Doghouse Studios.
Truls is a dynamic C-level Executive with more than 33 years of experience from the Scandinavian Film Industry. From 1989 to 2002 he served as CFO, and later Managing Director, of Norways largest production company at that time – Norsk Film AS. During his tenure at Norsk Film he produced, financed and oversaw the production of more than 30 films, and managed the financing activities for Norsk Films international and domestic co-productions. As Managing Director of the Norwegian Film Commission from 2003 until July 2021, Truls has been instrumental in bridging Scandinavian film production to the global industry.
Alla manages Evil’s Doghouse slate of developments from new and established writers and filmmakers. As Head of Development Alla is in charge of UK and International projects. She has previously worked at Belka Productions in London and Amedia Film Company in Moscow. Alla worked on TV series “The Moon”, “Eve is Gone”, “City of Love”, documentary “Battle” and also created and commissioned TV series “Rails” to Endemol Shine in Russia. Alla received a Masters Degree (with Distinction) in Screenwriting from Royal Holloway University of London and a BA in Documentary Journalism (Deans List) from LIU New York City.
Trond is an acclaimed Norwegian producer/writer with successes like Lilyhammer, Hotel Caesar, The Unit, and Maria on his track record. He is currently working at Evil Doghouse as a producer, with drama series in development for both domestic and international markets.
As project manager/post production coordinator at Evil Doghouse, Marius is responsible for facilitating everything in the studio to ensure the highest quality possible. Marius has previously worked as 1 AD and production manager on several shorts and commercials, and studio manager on feature films like «In the Forest of Huckybucky», «Louis and Luca» and «Two Buddies and a Badger».
After graduating University of Toronto in 2004 with a degree in English Literature and a minor in Film, Chris worked several years in project management, before starting in the film industry in 2017. During his time in the film industry, Chris has worked as a Line Producer and Producer for a series of short films and commercials. Chris has also provided production services for international production companies in Norway.
Øistein started his career in 1986 as a sound technician for Rainbow Studio, before earning the role as the creative dirctor of The Sound Factory, later called The film Factory and Evil Doghouse, in 1991. Øystein is a composer, musician, sound designer and translator, nominated for Amanda for the soundtrack to the movie "Blackout".
Morten Is the author of 16 books, and the recipient of the Tarjei Vesaas Prize for best debut in fiction (1985), the Riverton Prize for best crime novel (1993) and the Havmann Prize for best fiction from Northern Norway (2004). Morten always loved the forms of film an TV writing, and his great passion – telling the story – is at the heart of everything he does.
Since graduating as a producer from The Norwegian Filmschool in 2010, Ingrid has been employed at Evil Doghouse producing several shorts, a live immersive theatre experience and casted and co-directed the feature «Los Bando». Ingrid is experienced with script doctoring and development, and ran the casting agency “Castaway Casting” in Lillehammer for several years. Ingrid started her career in film and television as an actress, where she played one of the leads characters in Norway’s biggest soap “Hotel Cæsar” for eight years.
After acquiring a bachelor’s degree in Cinematography in Film School (ESAV) in Morocco, Oumaima worked as 1st Assistant Camera on several projects in Norway and abroad before becoming Director of Photography on short films and documentaries like “Knife On Canvas”. Oumaima is passionate about art in all its forms – from storytelling, to creating a visual, and bringing ideas to life.
Varon has become an experienced filmmaker having worked on several TV documentaries, art installations for the The Arts Council of Great Britain, Design Museum in London, and several commercials and music videos. Varon’s first documentary feature film was ‘A Man’s Story’ (2012) filmed over a 12-year period, focusing on the daily life of men’s fashion designer Ozwald Boateng. Most recently, Varon has been working on several documentary projects with a focus on female empowerment, and is planning a feature film in mockumentary to be shot in 2023.
A proven successful film producer, Mark has founded and developed a number of businesses involved in film and television production and facilities services, most recently as SVP of Production at Lipsync. Mark is also a founding partner of Core Star Media, and has three films aiming to shoot across the Spring/Summer of 2023, including “Riverman” “Bloom” & “Red Ridge” . In 2003 Mark bought Molinare, transforming it into one of the largest privately-owned Editing and Post-Production companies in the UK. During this period, he co-produced and executive produced the BAFTA winning feature “Moon”, and the four time OSCAR winner and seven time BAFTA winning “The King’s Speech”.
Snorre is currently working as a producer on the Moroccan team, focusing on telling untold stories and finding emerging young talent. Snorre has a bachelor’s in information technology specializing in Interaction design from the University of Oslo.
Most recently, Anna has worked as an SVP of Sales at London-based GFM Animation. Before she started doing sales, Anna did various things, like festivals, castings, production management and even a children’s magazine. She took care of Warner Bros. titles in CIS (The Great Gatsby, Pacific Rim etc.), worked as a line producer on several of docs for German-French ARTE, handled international sales, co-production, and licensing at Wizart Animation.
